He was very intelligent and great at math. In his kindergarten class, Vernon was the only one that could read. Vernon loved to read mostly Stephen King novels, enjoyed camping, spending time with family and friends, was in Cub Scouts & Boy Scouts, played baseball in the youth leagues and wrestled at Lincoln High School. Vernon was good with his hands and had a big heart. His last job was remodeling the Frog Pond in Halma, MN where he was also the cook. Vernon also worked at Northwestern Trailer Sales in Thief River Falls, and just last year ran a computer for a furniture manufacturing company in Vesta, MN. He mainly did construction work throughout his life. ![]() He attended Northland Technical College in Thief River Falls for one year and then began working for Walseth Construction. Vernon attended Washington Elementary, Franklin Middle and Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls and graduated from high school in Bemidji, MN in 1993. ![]() He was baptized at Silverton Lutheran Church rural Thief River Falls, MN. Vernon Lee Walseth was born on Januin Corpus Christi, TX the son of Lee and Hollie (Baker) Walseth. Burial will follow at Community Cemetery in St. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
